Using my gaming knowledge I made my first game mod (a precursor to StarCraft; that I called its namesake before it came out in 1998, ironically). Mine was rudimentary for an 11 year old. *I use the WarDraft editor I downloaded online and Corel Photo Paint ( I think it was version 8). *More about it in a post.

A project I called "StarCraft" (I changed the Warcraft II title screen to say StarCraft. Made my own adaptation of Warcraft II: tile-set using WarDraft editor, Trees were Nebula Gas, The Goldmine was a star, only the peasants and archers were the only units I made.

I kept making maps for games such as Half-life (using the original map editor Worldcraft), & Thief: The Dark Project (I tried to make a level for Thief based on the film "Cube"). I tried making my own mods (and realized how much work it was by yourself) based on either Quake engine "Fantasy Quake", "Air Quake", but then found "The Specialists".

My first experience actually coding; I taught myself "PAWN" (which is shorthand C++) and the programming language used to code Server-Side scripting using AMX-Mod-X! Mostly I learned coding through trial and error when compiling didn't work of my game server plugins. I ran 2 game servers (The Specialists Role Playing: known as TSRP [Harbu is known for the first dedicated servers]), 1 public server with known good plugins & 1 private server for testing plugins. These servers ran off of the same box my Athlon 64-bit processor on Windows XP 64 beta, I ran it like a server: with MySQL YOG client (for storing Admin flags and the steam IDs for Role Playing Association, also I wrote a plugin that stopped played from disconnecting from the server to get out of jail. I did this from 2003-2005.
